Around 15:00 hrs we (a
group of Dutch, Belgian and German fans who became friends after all those
visits to the WWRY Musical)
arrived at The Brixton where a small group was already in queue to get
their tickets.
It sure was nice to see some familiar faces or people I only knew through
forums and finally meet them in person.
After collecting them we had to go around the corner to get in the queue
for entering the venue. The weather was
perfect and the mood was excellent. Finally around 19:00 hrs we started and
everyone went inside.
The merchandise is great, by the way! It's only a pity they don't sell
posters this time around.
The actual show started around 20.30 hrs... a long time to wait... This
was Queen's party for a limited group of their fans.
It was intimate and stunning. Especially Roger was amazing. The overall
feel was good but one could think the show had to grow more.
How would it be in Paris - just 2 days to go? After the show we went to
one of the exits and there the equipment was already carried into large
vans.
Roger left in a hurry, Paul made a little time for the fans. And then,
finally, after about one-and-a-half hour
Brian came out. The gate closed, he stayed inside, and then he just shook
hands with everyone waiting.
No autographs. It's always nice to shake hands with this guy, so you got
at least the feeling that
you were able to show some appreciation of what the guys are doing for us:
they're giving a party
and we are invited. Let's Party!
A place near the stage was my aim, so this time I did not buy merchandise.
